Bonjour, it's spring! Yep, since the 21st of March! And what is a better symbol for the spring than a ladybug? (okay, besides the little lambs, the flowers, the birds whistling again, the sun shining & the happy people) I don't know anything better than that... So the first time I saw a ladybug, sitting/walking there, I had to grab the camera and take a picture! And here's the result:
Hihi, I showed my dad these pictures and he said: OOOH! Is that a Colorado Beetle?
Ok, usually he would see the difference between them, since he's quite interested in insects and birds... He must have been wrong because he looked at it for a very short time! (I hope...)
I hope I'll spot another ladybug soon!

springtime ♥
Yeah! It seems to be spring! The sun was shining today, it wasn't very warm: just nice. Hihi it makes me feel so happy! And I'm not the only one :) Every morning I go to school by bus, so I see many different busdrivers. Sometimes in the winter the drivers are a bit grumpy, because then the busses are very crowded. Then there are so many people who want to get to the city by bus, instead of going by bicycle, so everybody has to get in and stand (because sitting's not possible anymore). The drivers have to ask "please, walk a bit further" all the time, so at the end of the day they're not always very polite anymore..
But now, now it's sunny and getting warmer, they're happy and really nice :) haha! It's so funny to see them being happy and politely saying: good morning!! (and smiling)
Dead hydrangeas! I really like the dead leaves, because of the veins that stay when the rest's gone :) Especially now, with the sun shining on the them!
I hope you're enjoying the spring too!

it's been a while...
I've written something! I know, it was a real.long.time. But it just wasn't possible! I had to work on school, a lot, and make my homework. And the weather wasn't that well, so it didn't inspire me to take photos. I mean: rain is not that nice. Or at least, THIS rain was horrible. But before I took some photos :) It was quite a cold winter (minus 20 degrees Celsius!), so we could iceskate a lot!
It was a nice winter, but now I want some spring :) I think today the weather will be nice, because the sun's already shining.. Oh, and by the way: I'm also on an other site: click here to visit it! I'm a guest at that site! Please take a look over there, the other photos are stunning and will give you a good view of the small city (I think you can barely call it a city, but hmmm it has its cityrights, so I'll have to call it a city!) I live in.
NOW LET THE SPRING COME!

Time to confess.
Okay, it's time to confess. I told you I didn't have any good intentions for 2012. But I actually did. One. One single good intention. Or I think you can't even call it an intention, it's more a plan. And up to now it's going quite well!
Oh sorry for the lie.
But I wanted to know whether I was able to do it. And did not want to tell you I was going to do it, and then never do it. Hmmm you still understand me? Haha!
So now it's time to confess. I have to tell you! So here it is.
My plan is to make a photo everyday, so at the end of the year I have 365 photos :) Then I'll have a year in photos! It seems fun to me to see 365 photos and think: Oh yes, I still remember that day! That was when I went to the beach! I had such a nice day :) .
And it's a good practice, too! So here are some of the photos I took last two weeks:
O yeah, I'm so happy that it's going so well up to now!

... And a happy new year!!
I know, it's already the second of January , but I still want to wish you a happy new year!! I don't have any good intentions for the new year.. Oh lala! I might be one of the few people who haven't thought of them... Well, I actually have thought about some good intentions, but I concluded that I won't work them out. Because every year, on new year's eve, I think: I still have to make them. So let's make them now!! Then I make a nice list of things I want to do, and things I want to change, but at the end of the year I still haven't done any of these things. It's bad, I now, but why would I make a good.intentions.list#2012 if I know I might not finish it?? I might take a look at the list the first, second, third and perhaps even the fifth of January, but after that the list will disappear in one of the drawers and I'll forget it. Yep, it's my own fault, but that's the reason I didn't think of them. But I have some in my head!! (that's even worse than writing it down - since I'll forget it because it's so deap inside my brains I can't even find it anymore..) That's a lot less depressing than writing it down... Because when you write your list, and you find it at the end of the year, it's nothing but depressing to take a look at your list
and find out that you haven't worked out any of it. And if you don't write it down, you'll forget them and there's nothing to regret at the end of the year.
So I didn't create a list.... Oh yeah! Finally nobody convinced me I should!
The day before New year's eve, a friend of mine and I baked oliebollen. Literally translated: oilballs. (Yes, fat they are!!) Balls of deep fried dough with currants. You eat it hot, with (a lot of) icing sugar on top. The house stank to the smell of deep fried stuff.. Yep, very nice indeed!! But there's no other way of deepfrying, so we had to live with it.(Now, finally the stink is gone)
And then, in once, at 0.00 it was 2012!! We went outside to watch the firework. (After I had grabbed the camera, hehe) We hadn't bought any firework, so we walked around in the small city I live in. It was so cool to see all those people happy and celebrating the new year! I like to see that everybody's happy, so there's no better time than the first of January at 0.00 o'clock.
-of course I photographed the fireworks!! It was like a walhalla to see all those lights in the air... ♥!
Now that the new year has started, I want to wish all of you a happy new year, with lots of happiness and luck, and I hope that if you have good intentions, you'll work out ALL of them!!

Merry Christmas!
Hello there ;)
I want to wish a merry Christmas to everyone!
Let's hope it's a good one... Over here there isn't any snow, but I hope there is over there :D
These were two of the cards I've made for my friends :) Fortunately they liked them!
But thinking of Christmas, I have to think of me in a younger version. Here in the Netherlands, we don't celebrate Christmas in a way they celebrate it in United States (for example). That's because we also celebrate Sinterklaas, what's like Santa, but his birthday's on the 5th of December. Anyway, I had to think of the time when I was younger: At school we used to celebrate Christmas by having dinner with the class. Everybody had to take something to eat with him, so there was lots of food... Every year, the day of the Christmasdinner, I was nervous (or something like that, I think?) and dreamt the same dream - every year again! It was about me, my sister and parents going to the supermarket, getting an icecake :)
Don't ask me why, but in a weird way I always dreamt this dream the of the Christmasdinner at school. (Now not anymore, haha!) And apparent I found icecake something "very special". I must have been a weird kid... :P
By the way, tonight we'll make our Christmasdinner at home! I'm really excited, because we've planned to make extraordinary things - like garlicsoup with pommegranate and a Portuguese cake as dinner - ooh lala thinking of this I'm getting even more excited!! So let's hope it'll al work out well and we'll have a nice dinner! I hope you'll too! (Or at least be happy!)
So, Merry Christmas to everyone!!
Love, Susan
